Role Technical Product Manager

Role Overview

Buddy4Study is seeking a dynamic and innovative Product Manager with a passion for transforming education and scholarship access. This role is pivotal in driving the development and optimization of our educational and scholarship products, ensuring they empower students, institutions, and partners. The Product Manager will define product strategies, identify key market needs, and lead end-to-end product development to enhance access to education and opportunities.
Key Responsibilities

1. Product Strategy and Vision:

• Develop a learner-centric product vision aligned with Buddy4Study’s mission of bridging educational gaps through technology and financial support.
• Conduct comprehensive market research to identify opportunities for enhancing scholarship platforms, student success tools, and education-focused initiatives.
• Collaborate with stakeholders (students, educational institutions, and internal teams) to define scalable product goals and roadmaps.

1. Product Development:

• Coordinate with cross-functional teams (engineering, design, content, and operations) to build intuitive and impactful products that cater to students, parents, partners and institutions.
• Define detailed product requirements, user stories, and success metrics focusing on improving access, engagement, and outcomes for learners.
• Ensure seamless integrations with partner systems (e.g., DigiLocker APIs for document verification, PFMS APIs for payment status) to optimize verification and scholarship processes.

1. Stakeholder Collaboration:

• Engage with students, schools, colleges, and corporate partners to gather insights that inform product development and innovation.
• Partner with sales, marketing, and operations teams to plan effective product launches, ensuring widespread adoption and measurable impact.
• Provide regular updates to stakeholders on product performance, upcoming features, and user feedback-driven enhancements.

1. Product Lifecycle Management:

• Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from ideation and prototype development to go-to-market strategies and post-launch improvements.
• Monitor user engagement, scholarship application success rates, and other key metrics to drive data-driven decisions.
• Continuously iterate products to deliver seamless user experiences, including robust profile management, document wallets, and student tracking tools.

1. Innovation and Trends:

• Stay updated with advancements in EdTech, AI-driven learning, and digital platforms to enhance the scholarship and education journey.
• Integrate technologies like AI, adaptive learning, gamification, and automation to improve product efficiency and user engagement.
• Innovate tools that support Buddy4Study’s key features, including student mentoring, scholarship matching, and impact assessment.

Qualifications and Skills
Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education, Computer Science, or a related field.
• An advanced degree or specialization in EdTech, education management, or product management is a plus.

Experience:

• 5-8 years of experience in product management, preferably within the education, scholarship, or EdTech sector.
• Proven success in delivering user-centric products that drive measurable student engagement and outcomes.

1. Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in product management tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello, Confluence).
• Experience working with LMS platforms, APIs (e.g., DigiLocker), and digital documentation tools.
• Understanding of data-driven decision-making tools and user behavior analysis.

1. Soft Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address user needs and optimize processes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across teams and stakeholders.
• Empathy for students, educators, and scholarship seekers to create learner-first solutions.

Preferred Experience:

• Knowledge of K–12, higher education, or vocational training markets.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and continuous product improvement processes.
• Experience in integrating AI/ML solutions to personalize educational or scholarship experiences.
