HR Legal / Assistant Manager

Roles and Responsibilities

• Monitoring adherence to labor laws, such as the Shops and Establishments Act, Minimum Wages Act, Payment of Bonus Act, Provident Fund, and ESI regulations.
• Preparing and submitting statutory filings and reports to regulatory authorities.
• Assisting in internal and external HR compliance audits.
• Drafting and reviewing employment contracts, offer letters, and service agreements.
• Assisting in creating and updating HR policies to align with legal requirements.
• Ensuring all policies and procedures are communicated to employees and followed.
• Acting as a point of contact for legal support in employee grievances or disciplinary actions.
• Conducting preliminary investigations into workplace complaints (e.g., harassment, discrimination).
• Coordinating with legal counsel for disputes or arbitration proceedings, if necessary.
• Maintaining up-to-date employee records, including compliance-related documents like contracts, disciplinary actions, and grievances.
• Documenting and preserving records of legal matters or disputes for future reference.
• Coordinating with external legal counsel for advice or representation in legal cases.
• Liaising with labor commissioners, compliance officers, and other authorities during inspections or inquiries.
• Identifying potential legal risks in HR processes and advising preventive measures.
• Ensuring fair and lawful termination procedures to avoid litigation risks.
• Assisting in workplace safety compliance (POSH Act, etc.).
• Supporting HR in drafting notices, warnings, or letters related to employee conduct or disputes.
• Language Preferred - English, Kannada - (Read , write , speak ) and Hindi (Speak)
