Project Manager - Java

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the end-to-end project lifecycle, ensuring on-time, within-scope, and on-budget delivery across multiple cross-functional teams.
• Collaborate with clients to define and manage scope, project plans, and deliverables as per the Statement of Work (SoW).
• Manage client relationships, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and consistent communication of project progress.
• Facilitate requirement gathering, solution design, and functional documentation, ensuring alignment with business needs.
• Utilize modern project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello) for creating, tracking, and maintaining project schedules, resource allocation, and issue tracking.
• Drive Agile and Scrum methodologies for iterative project delivery, conducting regular sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Oversee project governance, managing approvals, risk assessments, change requests, and escalating issues as necessary.
• Lead UAT (User Acceptance Testing) cycles, ensuring smooth sign-offs and transition to production.
• Manage the financial aspects of the project, including budget tracking, timesheets, and expense approvals.
• Foster team development by mentoring team leads, technical consultants, and ensuring continuous learning across the team.
• Ensure adherence to industry best practices in quality, security, and compliance across all project deliverables.
• Lead regular training sessions and workshops to align internal teams with new technologies and processes.
• Support pre-sales and business development teams in preparing project proposals and Statements of Work (SoW).

Qualifications and Experience:

• 12+ years of experience in software development and project management, with mix of technologies particularly C/C++, with a focus on Java/J2EE-based development.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience managing end-to-end project deliveries, with Agile project management in an IT environment.
• Experience in handling 20-30+ teams members including Senior Engineers, Tech Leads and Solution Architect..
• Strong expertise in Java/J2EE, RESTful APIs, and object-oriented analysis and design.
• Familiarity with front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular) and CI/CD pipelines for seamless software delivery.
• Hands-on experience in cloud-native development, preferably using GCP.
• PMP, Scrum Master, or Agile certification preferred. Knowledge of project tracking tools like Jira, Confluence, and MS Project.
• Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional teams across different locations and time zones.
• Good understanding of DevOps practices, continuous integration/delivery pipelines, and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) is an added advantage.
• Prior experience handling data integration and analytics projects in industries like Supply Chain or Finance is a plus.
• Prior experience in SAP Integration, knowledge of SAP connectivity through SAP JCO, SAP NW RFC SDK will be an added advantage.
