About the Role :
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Information Technology Auditor to join our growing team.
In this role, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and reporting on IT audits to assess the effectiveness and efficiency of controls related to information systems, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance.
You will work closely with various stakeholders across the organization to identify risks, evaluate controls, and provide recommendations for improvement.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the enhancement of our IT governance framework and play a vital role in protecting our information assets.
Responsibilities :
Planning & Execution :
- Lead and execute IT audits, including scoping, risk assessment, developing audit programs, conducting fieldwork, and documenting findings.
Risk Assessment : Identify and assess IT risks related to various areas such as cybersecurity, data privacy, cloud computing, network infrastructure, applications, and change management.
Control Evaluation: Evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of IT controls to ensure compliance with relevant regulations (e.g , SOX, GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001) and industry best practices.
Documentation & Reporting: Document audit procedures, findings, and recommendations in a clear, concise, and professional manner.
- Prepare comprehensive audit reports for management and the audit committee.
Communication & Collaboration : Effectively communicate audit findings and recommendations to management and other stakeholders.
- Collaborate with IT and business units to develop and implement corrective actions.
Continuous Improvement :
- Stay abreast of emerging IT risks, audit methodologies, and regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the IT audit process.
Project Management :
- Manage multiple audit projects concurrently, ensuring timely completion within budget and scope.
Mentorship & Guidance :
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior IT audit staff.(If applicable)
Special Projects :
- Participate in special projects as assigned, such as IT risk assessments, due diligence reviews, and investigations.
Qualifications :
Education :
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Master's degree is a plus.
Experience :
- 5-7 years of experience in IT audit, preferably in a publicly traded company or a regulated industry.
Certifications :
- One or more of the following certifications are required: CISA, CISSP, CIA, CRISC.
Technical Skills :
- Strong understanding of IT audit methodologies and frameworks (e.g , COBIT, ITIL).
- Knowledge of various IT domains, including cybersecurity, network infrastructure, database management, application development, cloud computing, and data privacy.
- Experience with performing IT general controls (ITGCs) and application controls reviews.
- Familiarity with relevant regulations and compliance frameworks (e.g , SOX, GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001).
- Proficiency in using audit management software and data analytics tools.(e., TeamMate, ACL, IDEA)
- Working knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux), databases (SQL, Oracle), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
