Hardware Engineer - PCB/Circuit Design (3-7 yrs)

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Hardware Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in digital and analog circuit design, experience with microcontroller-based systems, and proficiency in PCB layout and design.

This role will involve designing, developing, and testing hardware solutions, with a focus on power supply design, connectivity technologies, and sensor integration.

Responsibilities :

Hardware Design and Development :

- Design and develop digital and analog circuits, including gates, latches, shift registers, transistor logic, and operational amplifiers.

- Design power supply circuits, specifically DC-DC converters, to meet system requirements.

- Integrate various connectivity technologies, such as Wi-Fi, cellular, Ethernet, and Bluetooth, into hardware designs.

- Select and integrate appropriate sensors for data acquisition and system monitoring.

- Develop schematic diagrams and PCB layouts (4-layer) using Altium Designer.

Microcontroller Systems :

- Design hardware around microcontrollers from major suppliers, including STM (ST32xx), TI (MSP430xx), Espressif (ESP32xx), and Microchip (PIC16/32xx).

- Implement communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, UART, RS232/RS485, CAN, Ethernet, and USB.

Testing and Debugging :

- Perform debugging and testing of printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs) and system integrations with firmware.

- Develop and execute test plans to ensure hardware functionality and reliability.

- Troubleshoot hardware issues and provide effective solutions.

Documentation and Collaboration :

- Create and maintain detailed hardware design documentation.

- Collaborate with firmware engineers and other team members to ensure seamless system integration.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest hardware technologies and industry trends.

Required Technical Skills :

Circuit Design :

- Digital and analog circuit design (gates, latches, shift registers, transistor logic, op-amps).

- Power supply design (DC-DC converters).

Connectivity Technologies : Wi-Fi, cellular, Ethernet, Bluetooth.

Sensors : Integration of various sensor types.

Microcontrollers : Experience with STM32xx, MSP430xx, ESP32xx, PIC16/32xx microcontrollers.

Communication Protocols : I2C, SPI, UART, RS232/RS485, CAN, Ethernet, USB.

PCB Design : Schematic and PCB layout (4-layer) using Altium Designer.

Testing and Debugging : PCBA and system integration testing and debugging.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

- 3-7 years of experience in hardware design and development.

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
