R&D Manager - Embedded System (8-8 yrs)

Job Summary :

We're seeking an experienced R&D Manager to lead our engineering team in developing innovative, commercially viable hardware and firmware products for the energy sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in circuit design, schematic capture, PCB design, and firmware development.

Key Responsibilities :

Hardware :

1. Design, develop, and test electrical circuits for power electronics, motor control, and sensing applications.

2. Create and analyze schematics using tools like OrCAD, Eagle, or Altium.

3. Design and layout PCBs (Printed Circuit Boards) for prototype and production.

4. Collaborate with mechanical engineers to ensure seamless hardware integration.

Firmware :

1. Design, develop, and test firmware for microcontrollers and embedded systems.

2. Write efficient, reliable, and scalable code (e.g., C, C++, Assembly).

3. Implement communication protocols (e.g., UART, SPI, I2C).

Leadership and Management :

1. Lead and manage a team of electrical engineers, fostering innovation and collaboration.

2. Develop and execute R&D strategies, aligning with business objectives.

3. Manage budgets, resources, and timelines for R&D projects.

4. Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements.

Requirements :

Education :

- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Electronics/Electrical or Related Field from a reputable College/university.

Experience :

- 8-10 years of experience in product R&D, with a focus on electrical engineering.

- 5+ years of experience in:

- Circuit design and analysis.

- Schematic capture and PCB design (OrCAD, Eagle, Altium).

- Firmware development (microcontrollers, embedded systems).

- 2-3 years of managerial experience, leading teams and projects.

Skills :

Strong knowledge of :

- BLDC, microcontrollers, PCB, firmware, lighting, and EV chargers.

- Energy sector trends, challenges, and regulations.

- Industry-specific certifications (e.g., UL, CE, IEC).

Proficient in :

- Design tools (e.g., SPICE, MATLAB).

- Programming languages (e.g., C, C++, Python).

- Communication protocols (e.g., UART, SPI, I2C).

Desirable Skills :

- Experience with energy efficiency, renewable energy, or sustainable technologies.

- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.

- Six Sigma or Lean certification.
