Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated BOM Entry Specialist to manage the creation and maintenance of Bills of Materials (BOM) in our ERP system for engineering products, specifically cranes and hoists. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of engineering principles, manufacturing processes, and supply chain management, ensuring seamless integration of product data into the system.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Create and update Bills of Materials (BOM) in the ERP system for engineering products
2. Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to ensure accurate product data and specifications.
3. Verify and validate BOM details against engineering drawings and product designs.
4. Ensure BOM accuracy to minimize errors in production planning and inventory management.
5. Maintain documentation and records for BOM revisions and updates.
6. Support continuous improvement initiatives related to BOM management and ERP processes.
Skills & Qualifications:
1. Educational Background: Diploma or degree in Mechanical/Production Engineering or related field.
2. Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of engineering principles and the manufacturing processes of cranes and hoists.
3. ERP Expertise: Proficiency in using ERP software for BOM management.
4. Supply Chain Insight: Familiarity with supply chain processes and vendor management.
5. Analytical Skills: Attention to detail and ability to analyse technical data accurately.
6. Communication Skills: Effective communication for cross-departmental coordination.
Experience:
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in BOM entry or engineering support roles is desirable.
Exposure to crane and hoist manufacturing will be an added advantage.
