Grade H Responsible for providing advice, support and coaching on HS&E related matters in support of safe, reliable and compliant operations, taking accountability for the performance of HS&E activities and driving the right safety behaviours amongst staff and partners to enable prevention, correction and control of conditions and mitigation of any adverse consequences.

Job Description:

Let me tell you about the role: The HSE&C Advisor (bp Solutions) is the primary HSE&C advisor to the bp Solutions logistic services team. The role provides advice and draws on the deep technical support of subject matter experts in the central HSE&C teams as needed

What you will deliver:

HSE incidents, reporting, compliance, risk and learning:

• Responsible for incident classification, investigation, incident action follow-up and claim/liability support
• Responsible for HSE reporting and hours worked reporting
• Responsible for internal HSE performance reporting, including HSE KPI and data collection/analysis and insights.
• Provide technical expertise into risk processes and reviews and documentation of risk (risk assessments, management of change)
• Providing structure and input to the organizational learning process, including learning from high potential incidents, lessons learned and learning forums.
• Compliance management, process conformance testing including analysis/insights and procedural reviews/updates
• Site self-verification support, which can include site visits.

Liaison between HSE&C and Logistics:

• Informing the Logistics team of central HSE&C initiatives, legislative updates and changes, internal requirements, operating management system and conformance reviews.

Dedicated HSE&C support for in-boundary operations/sites (Land Transport & Supply Bases & Marine Operations)

What you will need to be successful :

Must have educational qualifications:

Bachelor/Master s degree in engineering, Science, HSE related preferred, IOSH Graduate member required (Chartered member of Institution of Occupational Safety & health preferred)

Preferred education/certifications:

• Internationally recognised H&S Certification such as NEBOSH or CSP

Minimum years of relevant experience: 5 Years

Total years of experience: 5-8 Years

Must have experiences/skills (To be hired with):

• Expertise in general HSE and contractor safety management.
• Transportation Safety (ground, offshore marine, aviation)

Good to have experiences/skills (Can be trained for - learning/on-the-job):

• Able to translate technical skills into pragmatic advice and support.
• Team management and stakeholder management experience.
• Operational site experience and mobility preferred.
• Ability to provide in-depth gap and trend analysis.

Shift support

Working UK/US hours to support business partners; Supporting a global team so flexible working

Travel Requirement

Up to 10% travel should be expected with this role
