About the job:
Business Acquisition and Strategy:
- The primary role is to prospect for new clients by networking, cold calling, connecting on social platforms or other means of generating interest from potential clients.
- They would also manage the activities of others stakeholders responsible for developing business for the company.
- This requires a thorough knowledge of the market, the solutions/services the company can provide, and of the company's competitors.
New Business Development:
- Prospect for potential new clients and turn this into increased business.
- Cold call as appropriate within your market or geographic area to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities.
- Contribute strategically to the growth and direction of the marketing philosophy, target demographics, etc offering a price and negotiating around it.
- Identify potential clients, and the decision makers within an organization and meeting them.
- Plan approaches and pitches.
- Work with team to develop proposals that speaks to the client's needs, concerns, and objectives.
- Handle objections by clarifying, emphasizing agreements and working through differences to a positive conclusion.
Business Development Planning:
- Attend industry functions, such as association events and conferences, and provide feedback and information on market and creative trends.
- Identify opportunities for campaigns, services that will lead to an increase in sales.
- Research and build relationships with new clients by finding out who controls the advertising budget in target organisations and contacting.
- Track and record activity on accounts and help to close deals to meet these targets.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Agency sales.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to listen.
- The role would require concept selling and therefore an ideal candidate should have a flair and inclination to do so.
- The candidate should also have knowledge of the major industry domains and ability to work under pressure.
- The person needs to have fantastic Presentation skills and has to have a knack for making deals/ proposals & costings on excel sheets.
- Ability to meet deadlines and to work well under pressure while maintaining a high attention to detail.
- Assertive and go getter attitude.
- Capability to build relationships quickly, after first meeting or a phone call.
- Proven success of promoting sales strategies through and with partners.
