Bolla operates 200+ Retail Gas Stations with Convenience Stores (C-Stores) and automotive repair shops. Bolla partners with major food chains like Burger King, Tim Horton, Pizza Hut, and Subway.

Bolla is a premier Wholesale and Retail Motor Fuel (MF) supplier in Metro New York and New Jersey areas. Through our Bolla Transport division the company hauls Motor Fuel in both New York and New Jersey areas. We supply MF to our 200+ locations as well as an additional 75 Wholesale Dealers. It also constructs Ultra-Modern and upscale Gas Stations with C-Stores.

We are a diversified and well-established company with over 30 years of operations in FMCG retail, Oil retail, and convenience store industries. With a portfolio that includes over 200+ convenience stores, restaurants, car care centres, and fuel stations in New York, we are expanding our operations in India. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Civil Engineer with expertise in construction operations to join our team and play a key role in managing construction projects, overseeing vendor payments, and ensuring smooth operations across our retail and industrial spaces.

Position Overview:

The Civil Engineer for Construction Operations will be responsible for managing the civil design, site planning, and operational aspects of small to midsize commercial projects, as well as mid to large-scale industrial and residential projects. The successful candidate will be proficient in AutoCAD, possess strong organizational and communication skills, and be willing to take ownership of vendor payment processing and invoice management tasks. This role will require a hands-on approach, with the flexibility to work beyond regular office hours as necessary. The candidate must also have a willingness to be trained to testify at Municipal Board hearings/meetings if required. Willingness and able to work in the United States of America on a short-term to permanent basis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Civil Design & Site Planning:
• Lead the civil design and site planning for various small to midsize commercial projects, as well as mid to large-scale industrial and residential construction projects.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other professionals to ensure that design and construction plans meet the highest standards.
• Review and approve site plans, blueprints, and other construction-related documents to ensure compliance with local codes, zoning laws, and regulations.
• Supervise construction operations, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality standards.
• Vendor & Invoice Management:
• Manage vendor relationships and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services for construction projects.
• Oversee and process invoices related to construction operations, ensuring timely payment processing and resolving any discrepancies.
• Ensure that all financial transactions related to construction projects are recorded and tracked accurately.
• Project Coordination & Oversight:
• Coordinate all construction activities to ensure smooth progress of projects from concept to completion.
• Ensure that all construction work is executed according to the project plans, safety guidelines, and applicable regulations.
• Conduct site visits to assess progress, quality, and safety standards.
• Collaborate with contractors, subcontractors, and construction teams to ensure that project milestones are met.
• Municipal Board Hearings:
• Assist in preparing presentations and documentation for Municipal Board hearings or meetings, as required for construction permits and approvals.
• Be willing to undergo training to represent the company in Municipal Board hearings and testify as needed (experience in this area is desired but not mandatory).
• Reporting & Documentation:
• Prepare reports for senior management on the status of ongoing construction projects, including budget, timeline, and any issues or delays.
• Maintain organized and accurate records of all construction-related documents, including permits, contracts, and vendor agreements.
• Communicate project status, risks, and solutions effectively to senior management and other key stakeholders.

Qualifications & Skills:

Experience:

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in civil design, site planning, and construction operations, with a focus on small to midsize commercial and mid to large-scale industrial and residential projects.
• Proven experience in leading construction projects from planning to execution.
• Experience with vendor management, invoice processing, and construction-related financial oversight.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD for designing, planning, and reviewing construction projects.
• Familiarity with building codes, safety regulations, and construction industry standards.
• Knowledge of construction project management tools and techniques.

Communication Skills:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, including the ability to prepare reports, proposals, and presentations.
• Experience or willingness to be trained for testifying at Municipal Board hearings or meetings.
• Ability to effectively communicate with team members, contractors, suppliers, and regulatory authorities.

Leadership & Management Skills:

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and coordinate multiple teams and stakeholders.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, especially in managing construction operations and project timelines.
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring quality and compliance.

Personal Attributes:

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to take ownership of tasks and work independently.
• Self-motivated and willing to work beyond regular working hours when needed to ensure project success.

Education:

• A bachelor's or master's degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

Additional Requirements:

• Willingness to be trained and appear at Municipal Board hearings/meetings.
• Ability to handle high-pressure situations and solve construction-related challenges.
• Familiarity with regulatory processes for obtaining construction permits and approvals.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹800,000.00 per year
