Regional SPM Manager (RSM)

As a member of the Group Purchasing team, reporting to the Head of SPM, the Regional SPM Manager leads SVE and SDE teams, guaranteeing seamless coordination with local management to maintain a highly competent supply base that consistently meets delivery schedules and quality standards.

Role & responsibilities

• Manage local teams of engineers (SVE and SDE) ;
• ▪ Take some operational activities on SVE or SDE tasks ;
• ▪ Ensure alignment with functions (SV and SD) from Central team ;
• ▪ Own the responsibility of project and initiatives led in his Region ;
• ▪ Represents Supplier Performance Management team in the Region;
• ▪ Ensure adherence to Group business process in SVE and SDE activities ;
• ▪ Contribute globally to continuously improve Supplier Performance Management
• within the Central SPM function ;
• ▪ Share workload and priorities with the SVs and SDs functional managers ;
• ▪ Report on the Regional team activities to the Head of SPM

Required competences

Knowledge of Quality tools: PPAP, APQP, FMEA, problem solving

▪ Project leadership / Project management

▪ Global mindset, teamwork spirit

▪ Fluent in English, further language skills are an advantage

Key activities

Teams management including workload, priorities, performance and reporting ;

▪ Contribute to successful new suppliers' introduction, First Time Right KPI improvement,

effective SDP roll-out and closure, teams retention ;

▪ Lead some operational activities to support workload and priorities within the teams ;

▪ Participate to NPI and Sourcing Strategies councils ;

▪ Coordinate and answer to Regional escalations with regards to supplier or part validation ;

▪ Be the preferred contact for SPL/Site Heads and Quality directors in his Region ;

▪ Share at Central level the Regional priorities and urgencies ;

▪ Ensure local people development and performance management in line with functional

managers ;

▪ As a Central team manager, attend to all SPM teams and Group Purchasing Management

meetings ;

Preferred candidate profile

• Master degree in engineering or relevant technical experience in industry
• ▪ Proven experience in Quality or Supplier Development positions
• ▪ Multi-cultural environment would be an assets
