Job Title: DIRECTOR, TAX REPORTING COMPLIANCE MANAGER

We re seeking a future team member for the role of Director, Tax Reporting Compliance Manager II to join our Global Tax Operations team. This role is in Pune, Maharashtra - HYBRID role.

In this role, you ll make an impact in the following ways:

  • Leadership and Management: Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, providing direction, support, and development opportunities to foster a high-performance culture.
  • Tax Compliance: Ensure all tax documentation relief at source related activities within custody operations comply with relevant tax laws and regulations. Stay informed on changes in tax legislation and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Process Optimization: Develop and implement efficient tax processes and systems to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of tax operations, focusing on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate tax risks associated with custody operations. Ensure robust documentation and reporting to meet regulatory requirements and safeguard the organizations interests.
  • Strategic Planning: Provide strategic tax guidance to senior management and other departments, aligning tax strategies with overall business objectives and fostering a proactive approach to tax planning.
  • Client Service: Enhance client relationships by delivering exceptional service and promptly addressing tax-related inquiries and concerns.
  • Automation and Transformation: Drive automation and transformation initiatives within tax operations to reduce manual processes, increase efficiency, and leverage technology for better accuracy and innovation. Champion the implementation of advanced tax software and digital tools.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with regulatory bodies, external auditors, and other stakeholders to address tax-related issues and opportunities, ensuring transparent and effective communication.
  • Partners with Product/ Tax technical research to monitor the regulatory landscape/ changes and implements the same within operations.

To be successful in this role, we are seeking the following:

  • Bachelor s degree in a business discipline or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • 16 plus years of total work experience in core Operations and 5-7 years of management experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of Tax Operations, Relief at source/Quick refunds/tax reclaims filing and Mandatory/voluntary corporate actions is preferred.
