Data Architect - Snowflake & DBT (Contract)

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Data Architect with expertise in Snowflake and DBT (Data Build Tool) to join our team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing scalable data architectures, optimizing data pipelines, and driving best practices in data engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect, design, and implement scalable data solutions using Snowflake and DBT.
• Develop and optimize data models, schemas, and transformations to support analytics and reporting.
• Define data governance, security, and performance optimization strategies.
• Lead data integration, migration, and ETL processes using best practices.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, and analysts to understand data requirements and design solutions.
• Establish and enforce best practices for data modeling, data pipelines, and data quality.
• Ensure high performance, scalability, and security in Snowflake environments.
• Mentor and guide engineering teams in Snowflake and DBT best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 14+ years of experience in data architecture and engineering.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Snowflake (data warehouse architecture, performance tuning, and cost optimization).
• Strong expertise in DBT (Data Build Tool) for data transformation and modeling.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and ETL development.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) for data solutions.
• Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance best practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Experience in leading data projects and mentoring teams.
• Snowflake and DBT certifications are a plus.
