Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled ETL Tester with 3-5 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality of data transformations, data integrity, and performance across the ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) pipeline. You will collaborate with developers, data engineers, and business analysts to deliver high-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and execute ETL test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
- Validate ETL processes to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and performance.
- Perform functional, integration, system, and regression testing of ETL processes.
- Conduct root cause analysis and identify defects in the ETL process.
- Work with large datasets to ensure data quality through thorough data validation and transformation tests.
- Collaborate with the development and data engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve ETL issues.
- Develop and execute SQL queries to validate ETL output and ensure data accuracy.
- Perform performance testing of ETL jobs, ensuring scalability and reliability.
- Generate detailed test reports and defect logs and track defects through to resolution.
- Participate in requirement and design review meetings to provide input on testability.
- 3-5 years of experience in ETL testing, with hands-on experience in data validation, SQL, and ETL processes.
- Proficiency in SQL and database concepts, with the ability to write complex queries.
- Experience with ETL tools like Informatica, Talend, SSIS, or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, data modeling, and business intelligence.
- Experience with defect tracking tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or equivalent.
- Familiarity with automation testing tools (optional, but advantageous).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
- Good communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Preferred Certifications:
- ETL or data-related certifications (a plus).
