The business is high growth and significantly invested in delivering high touch personal services and creative client solutions with access to the Corporate and Investment Bank. More complex products are available through the Private Bank, including structured credit and derivative margin trading, direct access to trading desks for equity and FX forwards
Key Accountabilities:
- The role requires a detailed and comprehensive understanding of SEBI (primary regulator) guidelines and Operational concepts for the following licences.
- Portfolio Management Services (PMS)
- Mutual Funds Distributions (AMFI)
- Depository regulations/ guidelines (SEBI Depository Act 1996)
- Investment Advisory (SEBI IA regulation)
- Broking Operations
- Alternative Investment Fund Operations
- Accountable executive for Private Bank India Domestic Operations services
- Reporting to the Global Head of Private Bank Operations functionally, with a local dotted reporting line to APAC Operations Leadership based in Mumbai as well as India Domestic Business leads.
- Direct the effective operational management of the operations functions to agreed service and cost targets.
- Lead and structure Private Bank India Operations through strategic change working collaboratively with colleagues across the COO and PB Business, and through governance of outsourced functions (BX)
- Ensure delivery of processes and its resources, lead interactions with other functions to achieve the defined functional strategic objectives. Expected to ideate, lead and deliver solutions on process improvement and eliminating recurring issues.
- Deliver Regulatory, Risk & Control Management and remediation activities,
- Ensure delivery of processes and its resources, lead interactions with other functions to achieve the defined functional strategic objectives. Expected to ideate, lead and deliver solutions on process improvement and eliminating recurring issues.
- Deliver Regulatory, Risk & Control Management and remediation activities, records management, BCM, KYC, AML, investment services, client reporting service levels, appraisal, reporting and tracking Risk Events and Control Log.
- Work closely with the wider risk reporting and risk management teams to ensure controls are fit for purpose, with agreed schedule to implement missing or weak controls.
- Work closely within the global team (Fin Crime, Compliance, Risk and Audit) for scheduled reviews and reporting for the Ops function.
- Work closely with broader global operations teams to drive 'best practice' and 'best in class service.
- Drive alignment to the PBWM Ops strategy through identification and delivery of front to back process automation in critical processes
- Work closely with the leadership and operational teams in BX providing services to Private Bank India
- Work in partnership with Technology and the COO to drive and deliver the strategic direction and growth plan.
- Lead the operations team in ensuring that all activities are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Companys Operational Risk Framework and internal company Policies and Standards records management, BCM, KYC, AML, investment services, client reporting service levels, appraisal, reporting and tracking Risk Events and Control Log.
- Work closely with the wider risk reporting and risk management teams to ensure controls are fit for purpose, with agreed schedule to implement missing or weak controls.
