Lead Copywriter

About the role

We're looking for a full-time, in-house copywriter whos a creative thinker with excellent writing and research skills to help us elevate our brands. As a member of the Marketing team, our copywriter will write and edit copy for a variety of projects (including print, web, mobile, video, and social media), work closely with the product, brand, packaging and design teams to brainstorm ideas, create concepts, and develop messaging. The most successful copywriter will be a quick learner with a versatile writing style, who understands and evolves the voice of our brand.

Key Responsibilities:

- Work with the brand marketing team on key campaigns: partake in ideation, conceptualization, writing and execution

- Curate content for digital, social & offline projects across the portfolio

- Work alongside different internal & external stakeholders/ agencies to ensure consistent flow of communication on both copy and design

- Proactively come up with ideas & concepts to strengthen the brand persona

- Works closely with the Design Team to visualize social ideas and bring them to life

- Work independently to develop creative content and write authentic copy across channels

- Stay up to date with current social media trends and pop culture and transform them into
actionables for the brand

- Interpret creative direction and adapt points from creative briefs into persuasive copy concepts

- Simultaneously manage multiple projects

Good to have:

- 5-6 years experience in copywriting with an advertising agency, social media agency or brand's internal creative team (script writing skills will be a definite plus)

- Strong command over language, impeccable English writing skills and ability to articulate creatively across different mediums

- A degree/diploma or postgraduate degree in Mass Communication, Journalism or Copy Writing

- Understanding of how to maintain consistent tone of voice across all brand channels

- Comfortable with both short and long format content (more of short format)

- Interest and understanding of different digital platforms

- Ability to manage multiple tasks & stakeholders

- Knowledge of social media marketing best practices
