NMR(Nuclear magnetic resonance) Scientist- pharma R&D

Job description requirements (NMR position- Manager)

We are looking for an Analytical scientist having experience in characterization techniques. The ideal candidate will have experience in operating Nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectrometer with a focus on complex molecules analysis (polysaccharide/peptide/protein etc.). This role involves method development, Qualification/Validation, data analysis, and basic troubleshooting of NMR instrumentation to support our projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• The candidate should be able to operate NMR instrument and aware of safety protocols to be followed while working in the lab.
• Responsible for execution of routine 1D (1H, 13C, 31P, 19F etc.) and 2D NMR experiments (COSY, TOCSY, HSQC, NOESY, HMBC etc.). The candidate should have basic understandings of NMR theory.
• Maintain GLP and implement safety procedures while working in lab.
• Responsible to maintain accurate and up to date records of experimental data.
• The candidate Should be able to collaborate with other members of the group.
• Demonstrated ability to think logically and critically with organizational skills. Good written and oral communication skills.

Qualifications:

• Masters/Ph. D degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field.
• For a Ph. D candidate, a minimum of 2 years of experience is required, for a MSc candidate a minimum of 8 years of experience is required particularly in NMR analysis of complex molecules (polysaccharide/peptides etc.).
• Proficiency in data analysis software used in NMR.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with development and qualification of NMR methods.
• Familiarity with other analytical techniques such as HPLC, SEC, and FT-IR.
• Knowledge and understanding of regulatory guidelines for complex molecules.
