Inventory Controller @ Bigbasket -Tirupati

• Role & responsibilities

Coordinate incoming and outgoing stock, deliveries and logistics

• Monitor stock levels and carry out periodic stocktakes
• Supervise up to 15 staff members, including preparing weekly rosters and

leading staff evaluations

• Interview prospective employees and train new staff members
• Record all stock movement and deliveries in database and prepare regular

reports

• Inventory Reconciliations and MIS Reports
• TO / TI reconciliations
• Reduction in Damages & Expiries
• Overall control of Distribution Centers Inventories
• Ensuring stock checks (weekly & monthly)
• Perpetual Inventory – All Locations
• Preparation of daily, weekly and monthly management reports
• Analysis of business, financial and operational data
• Preparation of presentations to provide information to different levels of

management teams and external people

• Insurance-stores, inventory and assets – Negotiations, Ensuring coverage,

claims, settlements

Primary Responsibilities:

• Fraud assessments & reduction across the business functions
• Store Audits
• Compliance Audit
• Shrinkage, Dump, Damages & Expiries control / reporting
• Reduction in pilferage / shrink levels both at Store and DC levels
• Recoveries across stores, B2B, DC other parties
• SOP – effective compliance and reporting on implementations across business functions
• Location wise asset ownership – recording, reconciliation, Periodic verification – Stores, DC, HO, IT assets, crates
• Trained and mentored new floor staff in tasks including receipting, restocking, documentation
• Performed forklift operation and safety checks
• Prepared stock displays to company standards
• Used PDT scanners to receipt and restock
