Project Manager - Data Center Operation

Role & responsibilities

As a Data Center Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of assigned critical projects within our global data center facilities. Your role is critical in ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.

Preferred candidate profile

1. Project Planning and Execution:

a. Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resources, and budgets.

b. Coordinate and lead cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones and objectives are met.

c. Monitor project progress and implement necessary adjustments to ensure successful completion.

2. Risk Management:

a. Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project outcomes.

b. Proactively address issues and resolve conflicts within the project team.

3. Stakeholder Communication:

a. Serve as the primary point of contact for all project-related communications.

b. Provide regular updates to stakeholders, including senior management, on project status, risks, and issues.

4. Quality Assurance:

a. Ensure that all project deliverables meet project objectives, industry standards and best practices.

b. Conduct regular project reviews to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices.

5. Budget Management:

a. Oversee project budgets and ensure financial accountability.

b. Manage project expenditures and provide detailed financial reports.

6. Documentation and Reporting:

a. Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including contracts, reports, and specifications.

b. Prepare detailed project reports and presentations for management review.

Educational Qualifications and Experience Needed for this Job:

• Bachelors degree in project management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management, preferably in data center operations.
• Strong understanding of data center technologies and industry standards.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira).
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
