Job Description

The Finance Manager/Senior Finance Manager will oversee Bhumifinancial operations, focusing on accounts payable, payroll, statutory compliance, and audits.
Success in this role means ensuring timely payments, accurate payroll processing, and compliance with regulatory requirements, as well as maintaining smooth financial operations and supporting Bhumimission

Role and Responsibilities:
  • Fully responsible for accounts payable functions, ensuring timely payments and staff reimbursements, managing vendor relationships, and reviewing payment requests for compliance with organizational policies and regulatory standards.
  • Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, including statutory deductions, in coordination with HR on payroll records.
  • Manage and oversee the finance staff, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure effective financial operations.
  • Handle income tax and FCRA matters, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and timely submissions to regulatory bodies.
  • Conduct monthly bank reconciliations, monitor cash flow, and support treasury functions to maintain financial stability.
  • Lead audit processes, ensuring timely documentation and responses to observations while implementing process improvements across accounts payable, payroll, and audits.

    Educational Qualification/Experience:
    • Bacheloror Masterdegree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field.
    • 5-7 years of experience in financial management; experience in the non-profit sector is an advantage.
    • Proven experience in statutory compliance, accounts payable, payroll management, and audits.
    • Prior experience with donor reporting and trust/society accounting is preferred

      Knowledge & Skill Sets Required:
      • Strong understanding of statutory regulations (TDS, PF, ESI, Professional Tax) and tax filings.
      • Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Tally, Zoho Books) and advanced skills in MS Excel.
      • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
      • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
      • Knowledge of financial reporting, vendor management, and process improvement strategies.
      • Ability to liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders effectively.
