Your future responsibilities include:

• Further development and implementation of a comprehensive data lake solution architecture for IIoT data and beyond in our AWS cloud environment that meets the requirements while being scalable, secure, and efficient.
• Planning and realization of strategies for data connections from and to third party systems
• Evaluate new technologies and trends to ensure our solutions are always state of the art.
• Work closely with international customers, product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure a holistic view of requirements.
• Monitoring solution implementations and conducting regular reviews to ensure the highest quality standards are met.
• Providing clear and comprehensive documentation of solution architectures, design decisions and implementation details.
• Infrastructure automation / Infrastructure as Code, CI / CD
• Operation, monitoring and quality assurance of the data lake.

Your professional and personal profile:

• University degree, preferably in computer science or a similar discipline
• Several years of experience in software development, preferably with data focus, and in the role of a solution architect or in a comparable position
• In-depth knowledge of system architecture, application integration and experience with various technologies and platforms, especially AWS cloud services
• Very good understanding and experience in building a cloud data lake.
• Expert knowledge in cloud technologies with focus on AWS (e.g., S3, Glue, Athena, Lambda, IAM, CDK, IoT Core, API Gateway, etc.), AWS certifications are desirable.
• Expert knowledge in Python; Java, Go desirable.
• Good knowledge in big data technologies, e.g. Spark, as well as in optimizing ETL / ELT processes
• Very confident handling of relational and NoSQL database systems
• Good experience in creating APIs for different data related use cases.
• Very good experience with version control, primarily Git
• Ability to analyses business requirements and develop appropriate technical solutions.
• Team-oriented approach with the ability to collaborate effectively with globally distributed teams.
• Excellent communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
