Position: AgRMLT Project Associate-Consultant Location: Bhopal, M.P with travel to BRLF geographies of operation Number of Positions: One Reports To: Program Lead-BRLF Tenure: This is a project-specific position offered as a contractual six-month contract. Renewal is possible, depending on project extension and availability of funds. 1. ORGANISATION BACKGROUND: BRLF is an autonomous body established in 2013 under the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India. It stands out for its unique approach to livelihood development of rural and tribal communities. We aim to transform the lives and livelihoods of the most vulnerable tribal and rural populations across India, nurturing and facilitating civil society action in partnership with the state and central governments. Our focus on livelihoods through natural resource management, watershed development, and climate-resilient sustainable agriculture, along with our emphasis on entrepreneurship, skilling, and financial inclusion, makes our interventions comprehensive and impactful, leading to significant improvements in the lives of rural and tribal communities located mainly in the central tribal belt of the country. 2. ROLE DESCRIPTION: BRLF would be implementing the project Agroecology-based Regional Model Landscape Transformation (AgRMLT) (hereinafter referred to as Project ) in two blocks of Chhatarpur district of Madhya Pradesh. The objective of the project is building an agroecology-based landscape collaborative governance model in two blocks of Chhatarpur district of Madhya Pradesh. This project will be implemented in coordination with the Madhya Pradesh chapter of the National Coalition for Natural Farming (NCNF).
The Project Associate-Consultant for the project AgRMLT (Agroecology- based regional model landscape transformation) under the Bharat Rural Livelihoods Foundation (BRLF) plays a crucial role in supporting the effective implementation of project activities. The project implemented by BRLF is in coalition with NCNF(National Coalition for Natural Farming).This role requires strong analytical skills, effective communication abilities,
and a solid understanding of rural development practices. Experience in project support roles, particularly within the development sector, is advantageous. 3.KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Support the team in building and strengthening district- and block-level coalitions.
2. Coordinate with partners and members, including government departments, CSOs, CBOs, market players, financial institutions, farmers, and consumers, to facilitate coalition activities.
3. Assist the District Lead in liaising with government officials for coalition-related initiatives.
4. Aid the District and State Leads in organizing logistics for meetings, training sessions, and events.
5. Collect district- and block-level thematic quantitative and qualitative data, both primary and secondary, as per project requirements.
6. Any other tasks assigned by the Reporting Manager. 4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES: Educational Background:
A bachelor s or master s degree in social sciences, agriculture, rural development, natural resource management, or related disciplines.
Certifications or training in project management, data analysis, or rural development are an added advantage.
Experience: Minimum 4-7 years of experience in supporting development projects,
Hands-on experience in fieldwork and community engagement. Familiarity with the functioning of NGOs or development organizations at the
grassroots level. Exposure to assisting in project planning, implementation, and monitoring. Experience in data collection, analysis, and reporting.
Competencies:
Open to travel across project locations. Commitment to BRLF and its mission.
The remuneration package is budgeted for INR 30,000-35,000 per month. The offer made to the selected candidate shall be commensurate with the qualifications, experience, and salary history. 6. LOCATION: Bhopal, M.P. 7. Age Limit: Max. Up to 40 years
