Job Description

Job Purpose:

The Product Trainer will be responsible for delivering effective product training sessions to the Internal Sales Division (ISDs). The primary goal is to ensure that sales representatives are thoroughly equipped with the knowledge and skills to effectively promote, sell, and support the companys products. The trainer will facilitate learning, ensure product knowledge is aligned with company objectives, and continuously support the ISDs through training programs and resources.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Product Training Delivery:

  • Conduct engaging and interactive training sessions on product features, benefits, and usage to ISDs.
  • Develop and deliver product knowledge training based on various product lines, market trends, and sales strategies.
  • Use various training techniques such as classroom sessions, virtual webinars, role-playing, and hands-on demonstrations.

2. Training Materials Development:

  • Create and update product training materials, including presentations, handouts, videos, manuals, and e-learning modules.
  • Ensure training content is aligned with the latest product updates, sales strategies, and customer requirements.
  • Maintain and organize a library of training resources that ISDs can access at any time.

3. Assessing Training Needs:

  • Collaborate with sales managers and leadership teams to assess knowledge gaps and identify areas for improvement within the ISD team.
  • Analyze performance metrics and feedback to customize training content and delivery methods.

4. Monitoring and Evaluation:

  • Track the progress of the ISDs during and after training, ensuring knowledge retention and application in the field.
  • Provide regular assessments, quizzes, and follow-up sessions to reinforce learning.
  • Offer continuous feedback and coaching to ensure successful implementation of training.

5. Continuous Learning and Improvement:

  • Stay updated on product developments, industry trends, and competitor offerings.
  • Incorporate the latest learning methodologies and technologies into training sessions to improve engagement and outcomes.

6. Collaboration and Reporting:

  • Work closely with sales, product development, and marketing teams to ensure alignment between product training and overall business goals.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on training progress, feedback, and areas of improvement to management.

7. Customer and Sales Support:

  • Provide post-training support by answering product-related queries and offering guidance to ISDs.
  • Assist in resolving product-related issues that the sales teams may face while engaging with customers.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 3 years of experience in training, preferably in a sales or product training environment.
    • Prior experience in training sales teams or ISDs is a plus.
  • Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of the company's products and services.
    • Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to simplify complex product details and convey them effectively to a diverse audience.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills.
    • Familiarity with e-learning platforms and other training tools is an advantage.
