Position Overview:

As the Store Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of store operations, including sales, staff management, inventory control, customer service, and ensuring that the store meets its financial targets. You will play a key role in implementing and maintaining the companys vision, ensuring the store delivers a superior shopping experience while achieving organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Store Operations Management:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the store, ensuring smooth functioning and high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor and manage the store’s inventory, ensuring adequate stock levels and effective stock rotation.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, company policies, and procedures.

2. Sales and Profitability:

  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
  • Track store performance and sales metrics, providing regular reports to the management team.
  • Maximize profitability through cost control, effective pricing, and upselling.

3. Customer Service:

  • Ensure that customer service standards are met and that the store provides an exceptional shopping experience.
  • Address and resolve customer complaints and concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Train staff on effective customer service techniques, product knowledge, and selling skills.

4. Team Leadership and Staff Management:

  • Recruit, train, and motivate store staff to deliver excellent performance and foster a positive working environment.
  • Schedule and supervise store personnel, ensuring appropriate coverage during peak periods.
  • Conduct regular performance appraisals and provide constructive feedback.
  • Promote a high level of staff engagement and team collaboration.

5. Visual Merchandising:

  • Ensure the store layout and product displays align with company visual merchandising guidelines.
  • Regularly refresh displays to attract customers and promote featured products.
  • Ensure that all products are clearly labelled and priced.

6. Financial Management:

  • Monitor store financial performance, including sales, expenses, and stock levels.
  • Manage cash handling and ensure proper procedures are followed for transactions.
  • Prepare and manage the store’s budget, ensuring that financial objectives are met.

7. Marketing and Promotions:

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to implement in-store promotional activities and events.
  • Support the execution of seasonal campaigns, sales events, and product launches.
  • Ensure promotional materials and signage are properly displayed and up-to-date.

8. Inventory and Stock Management:

  • Ensure accurate stock-taking and control of inventory levels.
  • Manage replenishment orders, track deliveries, and handle stock discrepancies.
  • Implement stock security measures to minimize loss and theft.

9. Reporting and Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate records of sales, customer feedback, and stock movement.
  • Provide regular reports to the area manager on performance, issues, and opportunities.
