Job Description

AID Sales Executive


Purpose of Role:


This role will be responsible for leading and growing the business within the Architect and Interior Designer segment. Responsible for developing relationships with key architects and interior designers to drive specifications and recommendations for Berger Paint's products across decorative, premium, and innovative coatings with achievement of sales targets and enabling work on various metrics. The candidate will be instrumental in creating targeted solutions, enhancing brand presence, and increasing market share within the design and architectural community.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the dynamics within the architecture and interior design ecosystem, a proven ability to influence design specifications, and strong business development skills.

Key accountabilities:


Strategic Market Development:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive business strategy to drive growth and increase market penetration through the architect and interior designer segment.
  • Identify and build relationships with key decision-makers, including architects, interior designers, specifiers, and consultants, to promote Bergers product portfolio.
  • Position the company as a preferred partner for high-quality coatings and finishes in both residential and commercial projects.

Sales Growth & Business Expansion:

  • Drive sales and business development through the architect and design community, ensuring the companys products are specified in mid / large-scale projects.
  • Expand the companys reach in the premium and decorative paint segment by closely working with architectural firms and design consultants and key industry stakeholders like Painters & Contractors / Applicators.
  • Work with the sales team to track and convert design specifications into sales, ensuring follow-through from design to project completion.

Partnership & Relationship Management:

  • Establish and nurture long-term relationships with architects, designers, and specifiers to ensure brand loyalty and repeat business.
  • Engage with leading architectural and interior design firms to showcase innovative solutions, products, and services that meet the evolving needs of design professionals.
  • Organize and participate in architectural seminars, design exhibitions, and networking events to build the company's presence and promote its product range.

Product Innovation & Solutions:

  • Provide insights and feedback to enable Product Development teams to drive product innovation that aligns with the aesthetic and functional needs of the architectural and design community.

Market Insights & Trends:

  • Issue updates wrt the latest trends in architecture, interior design, and construction to anticipate and respond to market needs.
  • Provide feedback to the marketing and product teams on industry trends and customer preferences to shape product offerings and marketing strategies.
  • Leverage market insights to create targeted sales and marketing campaigns aimed at the architect and design community.

Team Play:

  • Help build / be a team / player that is performance driven with focus on servicing the architect and interior design segment, providing training and development to ensure a deep understanding of the market.
  • Collaborate with the local sales, DB and HO , marketing, and technical teams to ensure that the business strategy is executed effectively and achieves desired results.

Brand Positioning & Marketing Initiatives:

  • Give feedback to the marketing team to develop promotional materials, product presentations, and communication strategies tailored to architects and interior designers.
  • Action brand-building, connect & testimonial creation initiatives to enhance the companys reputation and visibility in the design community.

  • Strong relationship management skills, with the ability to build lasting connections in the design and architectural community.
  • Ability to drive business growth through targeted strategies focused on architects and designers.
  • Expertise in business development and the ability to translate design specifications into profitable sales.
  • Creative thinking with a focus on providing tailored, innovative solutions for design professionals.
  • Strong collaboration skills.
  • Communication skills

Educational Qualification:


  • MBA (Marketing) or relevant management qualification

Experience:


  • 4+ years of experience in business development and sales in the building materials, or related industries (Ply / Laminates / Bath fittings / Ceramics/ Furniture Fittings / Solid Surfaces / Premium Lighting etc (NON PAINTS) , with atleast 3/4 years of experience of managing Architects and Interior Designers at local level
