Job Overview:
- The Sales Associate Director will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to achieve agreed sales target for FY 24-25 and develop a decent pipeline for FY 25-26.
- This role involves leveraging relationships with government and public sector clients, identifying new business opportunities, and driving revenue growth.
- The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in sales within the government sector preferably consulting / managed services across IT/Finance/Advisory etc and have a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy Development: Formulate and implement strategic sales plans to achieve the sales target assigned for sector/geography - Central Government, Public Sector Units, Corporations, Public Sector Banks, Cooperatives, not for profits, multilateral organizations etc.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key government and public sector clients, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and retention.
- Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including government tenders, projects, and contracts.
- Alliances and partnerships - Identify & nurture suitable business partnerships/alliances/consortium partners in alignment with service /sector focus.
- Sales Forecasting: Develop and manage sales forecasts, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of sales performance.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the sales team, providing guidance and support to achieve individual and team sales goals.
- Market Analysis: Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats, adjusting strategies accordingly.
- Proposal Management: Oversee the preparation of proposals and presentations, ensuring alignment with client requirements and company capabilities.
- Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations with clients and stakeholders to secure contracts and agreements that align with company objectives.
Qualification & Experiences:
- Any graduate. An MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales, with a significant focus on the government and public sector & demonstrated success history.
- Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of government procurement processes and public sector project requirements.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with senior government officials and decision-makers.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience in leading high-performance sales teams.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
