WHAT YOU'LL DO:

As a Global IT Software Engineer in BCGs HR Systems team, you will have overall technical responsibility for design, development and technical support of global HR IT integrations. You will work with a team of internal and external developers, as well as a cross-functional team consisting of Project Managers, Business Analysts, and others to provide high quality integrations which respond to and meet the business needs of the entire BCG organization. You will be expected to provide technical guidance, oversight and coordination of development resources to successfully execute project and support tasks.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Under the direction of the HR Integrations Chapter Lead, work with the HR organization in the planning and execution of integration development projects.
• Design, develop and maintain integrations in Mulesoft.
• Have overall responsibility for the health of the core HR integrations, in terms of quality of the program code and operational effectiveness, from a technical standpoint.
• Plan and execute releases, making sure all deployment and rollback steps are documented & tested, and plans are coordinated & communicated appropriately
• Maintain integrations between tools, with an emphasis on optimizing performance and enforcing single source of truth design principles.
• Troubleshoot reported support tickets and provide timely analysis and resolution.
• Stay abreast of current development tools, trends and practices, and act as an evangelist for items that should be considered for future initiatives.
• Participate in creating and maintaining technical documentation.

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)

Education

• College degree in Computer Science or a related field and at least 5 years of experience in application development, or equivalent mix of education and experience

Experience/Knowledge

• 3+ plus years of hands-on development experience on Mule ESB / AnyPoint Studio with Java J2EE development.
• Experience with REST API, SOAP web services and use of connectors for integration.
• Experience with OpenAPI Specifications to create API Contract for development.
• Experience on developing mule flows in Anypoint studio and deploying to Cloudhub (MuleSoft).
• Development of integrations and APIs using enterprise integration patterns and frameworks.
• Understand and implement Dataweave scripts.
• Experience using JSON, XML, XSLT, JMS, REST and SQL Solid understanding of integration design patterns, SOA/EAI best practices.
• Create/Manage basic CI/CD Pipelines (Maven Plugins, GitActions and Octopus)
• Node.js, GraphQL, Javascript & Typescript (Desirable)
• Understanding of SCM tools and practices, experience with Team Foundation Server or GIT desired
