Position Overview:

We are looking for a highly skilled Engineering Manager with extensive experience in electrical switchgear products to lead our engineering team. The successful candidate will oversee the development, design, and production of electrical switchgear systems, ensuring they meet performance, safety, and regulatory standards. As an Engineering Manager, you will play a key role in driving innovation and continuous improvement while maintaining a high standard of technical excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of engineers involved in the design and development of electrical switchgear products.
• Product Development: Oversee the design, prototyping, testing, and commercialization of electrical switchgear products, ensuring that they meet industry standards and customer requirements.
• Project Management: Manage multiple engineering projects simultaneously, from concept through to completion. Ensure timely delivery, within budget, and with high-quality standards.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the R&D, production, and quality assurance teams to ensure seamless coordination and successful execution of engineering projects.
• Innovation and Process Improvement: Lead initiatives for product innovation, process optimization, and continuous improvement in engineering methodologies.
• Compliance and Standards: Ensure that electrical switchgear products meet all relevant national and international safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
• Customer Interaction: Collaborate with customers to understand their needs and requirements, providing technical expertise and solutions as necessary.
• Technical Leadership: Provide expert advice on complex technical issues and troubleshooting, ensuring high-level solutions to engineering challenges.
• Budgeting and Resource Management: Monitor engineering budgets and resource allocation, ensuring optimal use of materials, personnel, and technologies.
• Documentation and Reporting: Ensure that all design and project documentation is maintained and regularly updated, meeting internal and external requirements.

Key Qualifications & Skills:

• Education: B.Tech/M.Tech/PhD in Electrical Engineering or a related field from a recognized institution.
• Experience: 15-25 years of experience in the electrical engineering industry, with a strong focus on switchgear product development, design, and management.
• Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of electrical switchgear systems, including design, operation, and maintenance. Familiarity with national and international standards (IEC, ANSI, etc.).
• Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams, drive collaboration, and deliver results.
• Project Management: Strong project management experience, with the ability to handle multiple projects, deadlines, and competing priorities.
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and provide innovative solutions.
• Software Proficiency: Familiarity with electrical design software (AutoCAD, ETAP, etc.), as well as project management tools.
• Customer-Focused: Ability to understand customer needs and translate them into engineering solutions.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience with high-voltage and medium-voltage switchgear products.
• Familiarity with automation and digitalization trends in the electrical switchgear industry.
• Knowledge of environmental, health, and safety standards relevant to electrical engineering.
