Job Summary:


The Spa & Salon Manager will lead and transform the spa and salon services at the 080 Lounges with a primary focus on elevating salon operations. This role is ideal for a seasoned wellness industry professional with proven success in salon management. The Spa & Salon Manager will focus on creating unique, trend-aligned service offerings and wellness experiences that enhance the guest journey without reliance on aggressive sales tactics. The role also involves team development, strategic service planning, and ensuring high standards of luxury and wellness-focused service.



Key Responsibilities:


Salon & Spa Operations Management:


  • Oversee daily operations of the salon and spa, ensuring a seamless, luxurious experience that meets 080 Lounges standards.
  • Develop and curate innovative salon and spa services that align with the latest industry trends and guest preferences in wellness and relaxation.
  • Strategically plan and introduce seasonal service offerings to maintain guest interest and meet market demands.

Trend Awareness and Service Development:


  • Stay updated with the latest trends in the wellness, spa, and salon industries, incorporating these into new and existing services.
  • Leverage industry insights to develop unique campaigns, wellness initiatives, and treatments that appeal to a diverse clientele, focusing on current lifestyle and wellness needs.
  • Work with the marketing team to promote and raise awareness of unique salon offerings and wellness campaigns within the airport lounge environment.

Upselling and Guest Experience Enhancement:


  • Foster a subtle approach to upselling, training team members to suggest complementary services and products that enhance the guests experience without being intrusive.
  • Create value-added experiences for guests by designing service packages that combine popular spa and salon treatments, tailored to the needs of a transient, high-end clientele.
  • Introduce loyalty-building initiatives, such as personalized service recommendations, to enhance guest engagement and encourage repeat visits.

Customer-Centric Excellence:


  • Ensure each guest receives exceptional service that meets their needs and anticipates expectations, creating a welcoming and luxurious environment.
  • Regularly gather and analyze guest feedback to make service adjustments, continuously refining and personalizing the spa and salon offerings.
  • Train staff to deliver impeccable service that builds loyalty, providing guests with a calm, wellness-driven experience during their travel.

Team Leadership and Development:


  • Lead, train, and motivate a skilled team of spa and salon professionals to uphold high standards of service quality, guest care, and professionalism.
  • Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews, and skill-building sessions to foster growth and creativity within the team.
  • Develop training programs that align with wellness industry trends and ensure consistent delivery of services.

Product, Inventory, and Financial Management:


  • Oversee inventory management of spa and salon products, ensuring availability and quality of high-demand items while adhering to budget guidelines.
  • Manage financial aspects, including budget planning, cost control, and revenue generation, with a focus on service excellence rather than aggressive promotions.
  • Analyze revenue patterns and identify areas for growth through new services or improved service packages, balancing profitability with guest experience.

Safety and Compliance:


  • Ensure the spa and salon comply with all health, safety, and hygiene standards, maintaining a safe and clean environment that aligns with brand standards.
  • Stay informed on regulatory requirements for wellness services and ensure all services and operations adhere to these standards.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelors degree in Hospitality Management, Cosmetology, Wellness, or a related field is preferred.
  • 5+ years of management experience in the salon and wellness industry, preferably in high-traffic or upscale environments.
  • Proven expertise in leading salon operations with a creative, service-driven approach to meet luxury and wellness standards.
  • Strong understanding of wellness trends and guest experience in a luxury hospitality setting.
  • Demonstrated financial acumen, with experience in budgeting, revenue management, and inventory control.

Preferred Skills:


  • Certification in Spa or Salon Management, with an emphasis on salon-focused expertise.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to inspire both guests and team members.
  • Experience in high-traffic, wellness-driven environments where guest satisfaction and service innovation are key.
