Senior Director - Hyderabad Site Lead - Backbase Development Centre (BDC)
Location: Hyderabad, India
As the Hyderabad Site Lead, you will be the driving force behind the operational excellence, employee experience, and partner collaboration at our Backbase Development Centre (BDC). You will serve as the primary point of contact for all local tactical and operational activities, ensuring smooth execution while acting as a key spokesperson for the centre. Your role will require seamless collaboration with multiple global and regional leaders who rely on the Development Centre's success.
Your Role & Responsibilities
Site Leadership & Local Operations Management
- Be the face of the Hyderabad BDC, Overseeing Daily Operations and Resolving Site-specific challenges.
- Act as the local champion, ensuring alignment between the Hyderabad Centre's objectives and the broader Backbase vision.
- Partner with Real Estate, IT, and Workplace Services teams to maintain an efficient, safe, and engaging work environment.
- Own and oversee compliance with local regulations, policies, and employee well-being initiatives.
Partner Expansion & Vendor Management
- Define and execute a scalable Partner Expansion Strategy for Hiring Staff, ensuring alignment with quality parameters, business growth and market trends.
- Manage relationships with staff augmentation partners, talent vendors, and service providers, ensuring high-quality support for the centre.
- Drive performance and ensure seamless onboarding, integration, and management of external resources in collaboration with hiring managers.
Culture Champion
- Build winning teams: Champion a high-performance culture, fostering a sense of belonging, engagement, and purpose within the Hyderabad BDC.
- Be a trusted advisor and advocate for employees, creating an environment where they can thrive and grow.
- Ensure transparent communication and strong alignment between leadership and employees through regular town halls and feedback loops.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration & Business Enablement
- Act as a strategic enabler for various business units by ensuring cross-functional alignment within the BDC.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Services, HR, and Finance teams to drive efficiency and optimize delivery outcomes.
- Ensure site-level execution of global Backbase initiatives while tailoring them to regional needs.
Process & Continuous Improvement
- Identify and implement process enhancements to improve operational efficiency within the BDC.
- Monitor KPIs and operational metrics, proactively identifying areas for optimization and growth.
- Drive data-driven decision-making, ensuring that site operations are aligned with broader organizational goals.
What You Bring
- 10+ years of experience in Operations, Strategy, or Business Management, preferably in a Technology or Global Enterprise environment.
- Strong business acumen with a bias for outcomes and execution.
- Proven experience managing vendor relationships and partner ecosystems.
- Passion for people leadership and engagement, fostering a winning team culture.
- Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and drive impact across global teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Familiarity with staff augmentation models, talent strategies, and site operations best practices.
