reshape the lighting distribution network by introducing innovative sales strategies, bypassing
traditional dealer-distributor channels.
Role Overview
We are seeking an ambitious and results-oriented Sales Head for Maharashtra to establish a
robust direct electric shop network, aiming for an average of 100 shops per district city
selling 4 battens daily. The role combines leadership, strategic thinking, and operational
expertise to create and execute innovative sales strategies. Exceptional performance in
Maharashtra may lead to expanded responsibilities across other Indian states.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales Planning & Execution:
o Develop and implement sales strategies tailored to Maharashtra's market.
o Focus on establishing a direct network of 100 electric shops per district city.
o Ensure basic sales targets (4 battens/day per shop) while driving additional
sales for incentives.
2. Team Leadership:
o Build, train, and lead a sales team.
o Establish efficient workflows and performance measurement systems.
3. Innovative Distribution Models:
o Avoid traditional dealer-distributor setups, adopting fresh and concrete ideas
for shop-level sales.
o Explore strategies inspired by FMCG sales networks to increase penetration
and efficiency.
4. Field Operations:
o Actively lead or oversee field operations to ensure seamless execution of
plans.
o Provide actionable market insights to the management team.
5. Performance Management:
o Monitor sales performance and analyze data to identify opportunities for
growth.
o Meet and exceed sales targets while achieving operational excellence.
6. Digital Enablement:
o Utilize tools like CRM, Sales IQ, and digital marketing techniques to drive
efficiency.
Key Qualifications
• Proven experience in building and managing electric shop networks.
• Exposure to FMCG sales models will be a significant advantage.
• Strong command of CRM tools, Sales IQ, and digital marketing.
• Ability to think conceptually and execute aggressively.
• High energy, maturity, and a "get-it-done" mindset.
