Project Engineer

Role Summary:

In this role, you will undertake System design, BOM, datasheet & drawing preparation, system design implementation, factory acceptance test (FAT) of automation and analytical projects. Also, as a member of the Project Management team on a Project, you will be responsible for managing the delivery of a portfolio of projects related to engineering deliverables.

Job Description & Requirement:

• Ability to do Engineering for Analytical systems retrofit & greenfield projects.
• Familiarization with Analytical system and Instruments with following,
• Understanding of Analytical systems, applications, and processes
• Understanding of SCADA/PLC architecture and ability to understand and design.
• General Understanding on Network and Network topologies
• 3rd party interfaces/protocols
• Analytical System & Instrument installation and configuration
• Analytical system & Instrument commissioning and basic knowledge of field instruments.
• Understanding the Analytical system design with basic or detail engineering with exposure to FAT.
• Exposure in designing Analytical system cabinet and Sample handling systems.
• Exposure and understanding to projects Specifications and exposure to design reviews and technical discussion with customer and vendors.
• Understanding of the BOM and project buyouts such as (JBs, Cables, Field Instruments, Relays, Barriers, HMI, UPS, Chargers, HVAC etc).
• Understanding of the project cycle, time management and production phases and communication with awareness to technical risk during project execution and site activities.
• Knowledge on Third-party communication e.g., MODBUS, Profibus, OPC, Foundation Fieldbus.
• Developing datasheets, developing system schematic, GA drwg, PID, Isometric, Cable schedule, loop drawings,
• Conducting customer FAT

Education & Skills :

• Engineering degree / Diploma,
• Proficient in English (written and verbal);
• Computer literate (MS Office) with software programming skills;
• 2-7 years of industry experience (Oil & Gas, Chemicals, Refining, Pharma, water etc.)
• Willingness to travel within and outside the country as required.
• Ability to work independently and within defined timelines.
• Experience with direct customer contact and managing expectations.
