Axis Energy - Lead - Procurement (15-20 yrs)

Position : Lead Procurement

Location : Hyderabad

Reporting to : CEO

Position summary:

- This position will be responsible to manage the companys supply of products and services.

- He/She responsibilities include strategizing to find cost-effective deals and suppliers.

- The Procurement Managers duty is to discover the best ways to cut procurement expenses, so that the company can invest in growth and people.

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Create and implement regional procurement strategies that are innovative, cost-effective, and incorporate the growing complexities and challenges within the industry

- Build long-term relationships with vendors in the industry

- Compare proposals for price and specifications

- Negotiate with vendors to reduce costs

- Review contract specifications on behalf of the company

- Communicate with vendors to ensure that the product arrives in a timely fashion

- Build and maintain long-term relationships with critical suppliers

- Manage technological systems that track the shipment, inventory and supply of materials

- Lead transformational activities to build procurement organizational capabilities and improve procurement efficiency

- Collaborate with key persons to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations of the company

- Foresee alterations in the comparative negotiating ability of suppliers and clients

- Expect unfavorable events through analysis of data and prepare control strategies

- Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements

- Control spend and build a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs

- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly procurement reports

- Ensure adherence to all safety, health, and environmental rules and regulations

- Keep abreast of changing industry trends

Qualification & Experience:

Knowledge:

- Proven working experience as a Procurement Manager, Procurement Officer or Head of Procurement

- Relevant degree in supply chain management, logistics or business administration

- In-depth knowledge of contracts, invoicing, and negotiation terms

- Problem solver with a strong analytical mindset

- Outstanding organizational and time management skills
