Sr. Software Engineer (WordPress, Magento, and Shopify)

Avya Technology is seeking a highly skilled Sr. Software Engineer with expertise in PHP, WordPress, Magento, and Shopify to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will manage and optimize our CMS and eCommerce platforms, contributing to the development of innovative, high-performance solutions.

Responsibilities:

• WordPress Plugin/Widget Development: Develop and maintain custom WordPress plugins and widgets in line with coding standards, with a focus on hooks for seamless CMS integration.
• Magento Development & Customization: Build, customize, and maintain Magento-based eCommerce stores, ensuring optimal functionality and performance.
• WooCommerce & Shopify Integration: Develop, customize, and maintain features for WooCommerce and Shopify platforms, ensuring smooth eCommerce operations.
• Performance Optimization: Implement optimization techniques for both software and databases, focusing on Magento, WordPress, WooCommerce, and Shopify for high performance and smooth functionality.
• Theme & Plugin Customization: Customize themes and plugins across Magento, WordPress, WooCommerce, and Shopify to meet project-specific requirements.
• Database Management: Efficiently manage MySQL databases, optimizing SQL queries for performance and data integrity.
• API Integration: Work with RESTful APIs and handle data formats like JSON and XML to enhance CMS and eCommerce functionalities.
• Version Control: Utilize Git, SVN, or Bitbucket for efficient project management and collaboration.

Required Technical Skills:

• Strong experience in PHP development.
• Expertise in WordPress, Magento, WooCommerce, and Shopify development.
• Knowledge of Magento architecture, including module development, customization, and performance optimization.
• Proficiency in WordPress hooks, filters, and custom theme/plugin development.
• Experience in MySQL database management and query optimization.
• Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, and XML.
• Proficient in Git, SVN, or Bitbucket for version control.
