NATURE AND SCOPE OF THE POSITION.
To participate in the design of Electrical detailed drawings.Fully competent Designer specialized in all aspects of chosen discipline.
Able to produce designs with minimal engineering input, sketches, notes, vendor drawings etc.
Should have good understanding of other discipline modeling activities, dependency on the other disciplines, Responsible for on time delivery and quality.
Identifies shortcomings in current design methods and use of software and proposes remedies. Major Responsibilities.
Create electrical engineering drawings that detail the design of electrical systems for Oil and Gas, Power Industry.
Develop drawings that show how electrical components will be connected to create functioning systems.
Design electrical wiring, equipment, and systems such as power distribution grids and transformer stations.
Prepare drawings detailing the location of wiring and equipment to ensure it meets fire safety standards.
Draft diagrams using Auto cad software to create Single Line diagram, wire diagrams, circuit diagrams, schematic diagrams, panel diagrams, and other diagrams related to electrical engineering.
Communicate with engineers to gather information about project specifications and design concepts,.
Review drawings created by engineers to identify errors and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Prepare detailed drawings, Line diagrams, Installation drawing, loop drawings, Schematics, block diagrams, termination diagrams, mounting details for racks and equipment etc.
using computer software such as Autocad, MS office.
Create 2D drawings using AutoCAD for Single Line diagram, Schematics, Block diagram, Loop diagrams, Interconnection diagram, Wiring diagram, architecture diagram etc. Generate 2D layout drawings for Cable ladder, Cable routing, Lighting, Earthing, Navigational Aids, and MCT etc. Review of clash free 3D Modelling of electrical equipment, Cable ladder/trays, Junction Boxs, Lighting, socket outlets, ladder supports etc.
based on client standards and good engineering practice using PDMS design tool. Preparation of typical installation drawings for Cable ladder/tray, Lighting, Earthing and miscellaneous items etc. Preparation of Bill of Material (Cables, ladders, lighting, MCT etc.).
Prepare wall Opening / cut out drawing for Buildings (Electrical Room).
Prepare cable schedule.
Perform lighting calculation using Chalmite, Dialux etc.
software.
Design navigational aid system as per codes and standards.
Vendor document review.
Prepare of Material Take Off (MTO) for bulk items (Lighting, Cables, Sockets, and Switches Earthing etc.).
Prepare conceptual drawings and sketches.
To assist the lead designer in writing procedures, specifying actions to be taken for any unusual/special removal, maintenance and overhaul of electrical systems and equipment which he has designed. To follow all relevant Departmental Working Instructions in the design and drawing of Electrical systems and equipment. Calculation of Weight summary & Steel Quantity estimation.
Sizing of Multi-Cable Transit (MCT) and preparation of MCT layout and MCT details.
Checking of Inter discipline drawing (Civil, Instrumentation & telecom, Structural) piping, Process.
Review and coordinate electrical 3D model with the other disciplines. Maintaining up to date software, codes, standards, design methods, etc.
and disseminating new information through the department.
Ensure that personnel keep aware of relevant new technology within the industry and encourage personnel to develop new ideas and novel solutions; transmit novel technical solutions to the design element.
Organizes and secures knowledge in his discipline. Job Requirements.
Education Qualification:Engineering Degree or Diploma from a recognized university / Institution.
Excellent technical knowledge and use of design softwares like AutoCAD, PDMS etc. Experience:Minimum 3 -5 Yrs for BE/BTech and 6 Yrs.
for Diploma is preferable.
Experienced professional should be fully competent in the use of relevant draughting software.
Experience in an oil and gas company in specific engineering services focused on FPSO, FSO, other floating Oil & Gas structures and platforms is preferred,.
