Sr Engineer - Electrical (Data Centers)

Job Responsibilities:

We are seeking a skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team, specializing in the design and implementation of electrical systems for data centers. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in electrical engineering within the AEC industry and a strong understanding of data center operations and requirements

• Lead the electrical design and engineering efforts for data center projects, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.
• Develop electrical design specifications, calculations, and drawings, including power distribution, lighting, grounding, and emergency backup systems.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, mechanical engineers, and project managers, to create integrated design solutions.
• Conduct load analysis, short-circuit and coordination studies, and reliability assessments for critical power systems.
• Evaluate and select electrical equipment and systems, including generators, UPS systems, PDUs, transformers, and lighting systems.
• Oversee project documentation, ensuring designs are accurately represented and changes are tracked and communicated effectively.
• Perform site assessments to gather project requirements, identify potential challenges, and provide solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers and support their professional development through training and guidance.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in data center design and electrical engineering.
• Participate in client meetings and presentations to communicate design concepts and project status

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP) and other relevant engineering tools
• Strong understanding of electrical codes and standards, such as NEC, ANSI, IEEE, and UL
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the capability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
