It Procurement Specialist

We are looking for an experienced IT Procurement Specialist to manage the procurement of IT hardware, software, and services for our Renewable energy business. The role involves vendor management, contract negotiations, cost optimization, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

IT Procurement & Vendor Management:

• Identify, evaluate, and onboard IT vendors, ensuring alignment with company requirements.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service agreements with IT suppliers to optimize costs.
• Manage procurement of IT infrastructure, including servers, cloud services, network equipment, and cybersecurity solutions.
• Ensure timely procurement of IT hardware and software licenses for smooth operations.

Procurement Strategy & Cost Optimization:

• Develop IT procurement strategies aligned with the company's goals and budget.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements in IT procurement.
• Manage annual IT procurement budgets and track expenses.

Compliance & Risk Management:

• Ensure IT procurement processes comply with industry regulations and company policies.
• Maintain records of vendor contracts, purchase orders, and invoices.
• Assess vendor performance and mitigate risks related to IT procurement.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:

• Work closely with the IT, finance, and legal teams to ensure procurement meets business needs.
• Support renewable energy projects with IT-related procurement requirements.
• Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements in solar energy and IT.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Education: Bachelors degree in IT, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related fields.
• Experience: 5-10 years of experience in IT procurement, preferably in the renewable energy or solar industry.
• Skills:
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Knowledge of IT infrastructure, cloud services, and software licensing.
• Experience with procurement tools like SAP, Ariba, or similar platforms.
• Understanding of cybersecurity and data protection requirements.
• Ability to analyze and optimize procurement costs.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in IT procurement for solar power plants or renewable energy projects.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements for IT procurement in the energy sector.
