Job Title: Site Billing Engineer

Experience Required: 4-9+ years 

Job Summary: We are looking for a detail-oriented and efficient Site Billing Engineer with 2-6 years of experience in the construction industry. The ideal candidate should have expertise in site billing processes, Bar Bending Schedule (BBS), material consumption reconciliation, and handling various construction-related documentation including HR and quality records and worked on SAP. You will play a vital role in ensuring accurate billing, tracking material consumption, and maintaining proper documentation for smooth project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Site Billing & Documentation:
• Prepare, verify, and process billing documentation such as progress claims, invoices, and final accounts.
• Ensure accurate recording of materials, labour, and machinery for billing purposes.
• Monitor and track site activities to align billing with actual progress.
• Maintain proper documentation for all material consumption, receipts, and deliveries.
• Bar Bending Schedule (BBS) & Reconciliation:
• Review and manage Bar Bending Schedules (BBS), ensuring accuracy in quantities and types of reinforcement required.
• Coordinate with the procurement team to reconcile actual material consumption with the planned BBS.
• Ensure proper tracking of reinforcement steel consumption, wastage, and adjustment as per site requirements.
• Material Consumption & Reconciliation:
• Maintain detailed records of construction materials used on-site, including cement, steel, aggregates, and other consumables.
• Assist in the reconciliation of material consumption with the bill of materials, ensuring proper inventory control.
• Coordinate with site supervisors and procurement teams to manage material shortages or overages.
• HR & Quality Documents:
• Maintain and manage employee HR documentation for workers and subcontractors (attendance, work permits, safety records, etc.).
• Ensure compliance with quality assurance procedures by maintaining quality documentation and inspections.
• Assist in compiling quality checklists, material inspection reports, and testing records.
• Coordination and Reporting:
• Work closely with project managers, site engineers, and procurement teams to ensure the accurate and timely submission of bills and reports.
• Assist in cost estimation, forecasting, and preparation of financial reports.
• Prepare monthly consumption reports and billing summaries for management review.
• Cost Control and Financial Monitoring:
• Track and control site expenses and ensure that the project remains within budget.
• Support in auditing, financial reconciliation, and maintaining transparency in project costs.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 2-6 years of experience as a Site Billing Engineer, with expertise in Bar Bending Schedule (BBS), material reconciliation, and construction cost management.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, consumption tracking, and inventory management.
• Experience with HR documentation (attendance, work permits, etc.) and quality assurance records.
• Proficient in MS Excel and other construction project management software (ERP, SAP, etc.).
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and Bar Bending Schedules.
• Good communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Preferred Skills:

• Certification or training in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related fields.
• Familiarity with construction quality standards and safety regulations.
• Experience in handling large-scale projects with a focus on billing, material management, and documentation.
