We are seeking an experienced Purchase Manager to lead our procurement team in sourcing high-quality materials, equipment, and services for our modular manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will develop and implement strategic procurement plans, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Procurement Planning: Develop and implement procurement strategies to support business objectives, ensuring alignment with company goals and policies.
2. Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers; negotiate contracts, prices, and delivery terms; and manage supplier relationships to ensure quality, reliability, and performance.
3. Material Sourcing: Source high-quality materials, equipment, and services, ensuring compliance with specifications, regulations, and industry standards.
4. Cost Management: Analyze market trends, negotiate prices, and implement cost-saving initiatives to ensure best value for the company.
5. Inventory Management: Collaborate with the logistics team to ensure effective inventory management, minimizing stock outs and overstocking.
6. Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements; identify and mitigate procurement-related risks.
7. Team Management: Lead and develop a high-performing procurement team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure effective execution of procurement strategies.
8. Stakeholder Management: Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, including production, logistics, and finance teams, to ensure alignment and effective collaboration.
9. Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement and implement process enhancements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall procurement performance.
Requirements:
1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, or related field.
2. Experience: Minimum 5-10 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in a manufacturing or modular construction environment.
3. Skills:
1. Strong procurement and negotiation skills
2. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills
3. Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions
4. Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
5. Proficient in procurement software and systems (e.g., ERP, e-sourcing platforms)
4. Certifications: CIPS, CPSM, or other relevant procurement certifications preferred.
