A Network Engineer is responsible for Configuring, Monitoring, and maintaining the client remote network devices .
This includes all aspects of troubleshooting internet routing issues.
A Network Engineer oversees and logically troubleshoots technical issues to reach a resolution.
Install, configure, maintain, and support all network hardware and software components.
Configure firewalls, routers, switches, wireless access points, and VPNs to ensure optimal performance.
Experience in configuring using network monitoring tools/platforms.
Performing regular security checks on the network systems.
Troubleshoot networking issues including latency problems, packet loss, etc
Proactively monitor, verify and maintain hardware & software performance within defined/set parameters and take up upgrades task as required to optimise performance.
Develop policies for access control, security measures, system backups, and disaster recovery procedures
Provide technical support to users when necessary.
Minimum 5-6 years of relevant data-center networking experience preferably backed by current Cisco CCNP and/or Juniper certifications.
You must have a very good base understanding of BGP and other datacenter technologies and are eager to learn and work on new hardware and technologies
Experience using and managing systems such as syslog, Zabbix and preferably experienced with scripting languages like Perl/PHP/ shell scripting
you're open and flexible to take new challenges and can succeed with minimal daily supervision.
