Job Purpose:
To manage the home loan credit portfolio by ensuring sound credit underwriting, adherence to risk management guidelines, and maintaining a healthy portfolio quality. The role requires evaluating loan proposals, monitoring disbursed loans, and ensuring compliance with AU Bank’s credit policies.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Credit Assessment & Underwriting:
Evaluate home loan proposals based on AU Bank’s credit policy.
Perform detailed financial, business, and personal analysis of applicants.
Conduct risk assessment, including repayment capacity, property verification, and legal checks.
Approve/recommend loan applications within delegated authority limits.
2. Portfolio Management:
Monitor the performance of the existing home loan portfolio to identify early warning signals.
Implement risk mitigation strategies to maintain portfolio quality.
Track and manage delinquency levels, ensuring NPAs are within the defined threshold.
3. Policy Adherence & Compliance:
Ensure strict adherence to RBI regulations, internal credit policies, and risk management frameworks.
Coordinate with legal, technical, and compliance teams for due diligence.
4. Stakeholder Management:
Liaise with the sales team to maintain a balance between growth and asset quality.
Provide feedback and training to the sales team on credit norms and documentation.
Coordinate with recovery and collection teams for stressed accounts.
5. Data Analysis & Reporting:
Prepare regular MIS reports on portfolio performance, risk metrics, and key trends.
Analyze data to identify patterns in credit behavior and suggest policy revisions when needed.

Key Skills & Competencies:
Strong analytical and credit appraisal skills.
In-depth knowledge of home loan products, risk assessment, and mortgage underwriting.
Familiarity with local property markets and legal regulations (especially for Indore or MP regions if relevant).
Excellent communication and decision-making skills.
Proficiency in MS Excel, credit risk tools, and banking software.

Qualifications & Experience:
Education: Graduate/Postgraduate in Finance, Commerce, or related fields; MBA/CA preferred.
Experience: 4–6 years of experience in credit underwriting for home loans, preferably in NBFCs or banks.
Certifications (Optional): Credit Risk Management, Mortgage Lending Certifications, etc.
