Manager / Senior Manager - Manufacturing Engineering

Role & responsibilities

• Concept feasibility study and Evaluation, including detailed investment, Implementation procedure and time estimation.
• Making relevant back up to get management approval.
• Creating Request for Quotation (RFQ) for the Project and floating to relevant and capable supplier
• Technical evaluation of Quotation received from Suppliers for inclusion of scope and correct specification of equipments.
• Efficient Layout planning and improvement in the existing.
• Equipment Planning and Selection for BIW, Vehicle Assembly and Engine Assembly.
• DAP, Pre-dispatch Inspection and Trials at Supplier.
• Planning & Ensuring of Installation and commissioning of new project.
• Handover of Production line to Production and Maintenance with proving of Required Cycle time, Quality of Product and Equipments, ensuring Safety of Equipments and Operators during Production.
• Identify and resolve process issues to encourage more efficient workflow and to improve productivity by CT study.
• Implementation of Lean Manufacturing tools & techniques to improve performance, to reduce waste, to optimize workforce & to utilize resources more efficiently.
• Process mapping to find the scope of improvement.
• Continuous improvement project - productivity, manpower reduction, lead time reduction, one piece flow, and reduction in throughput time.
• Lean Projects on SMED, VSM, KAIZEN and Takt time, Line Balancing etc.
• Lead projects on continuous improvements, Quality issue improvements.

Preferred candidate profile

• BE - Mechanichal / Production
• 15 to 20 Years experience in the Vehicle Assembly Process , BIW Process , Manufacturing process Excellence, Continuous Improvement, Process Mapping, Lean Manufacturing, Waste Reduction & Optimization, Time Study, Method Study, Motion Study.
• Hands on experience on DC tools, Pnumatic Nut runner, Welding Fixtures, Spot welding Guns etc.
• Experience in 3 wheeler Industry will be added advantage.
