Application Developer - Android Applications

• This role is for a senior Native Android Developer (Kotlin)

• Developers at Ather help drive technology
• Improve existing functionality while building POCs for future systems.
• Work Closely with Product Managers, Cloud and Backend teams for implementing new features and solutioning architecture for future products.
• We are looking for a person who will help us build our EVs smart applications
• You will function as part of a team effort to design, develop, code, test and debug new complex software or significant enhancements to existing complex software
• Perform Peer review of input for documentation of new or existing software
• Apply existing and introduce new and approved technologies to develop solutions.

Heres what were looking for

• Strong knowledge of Android Jetpack compose
• Strong knowledge of Android design principles, patterns, and best practices.
• Strong knowledge of Android SDK.
• Familiarity with Google Maps functionalities and open maps
• Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning.
• Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasks
• Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications
• Understanding of Googles Android design principles and interface guidelines
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git

Good to have skills:

• Familiarity with the use of additional sensors, such as gyroscopes and accelerometers
• Familiarity with continuous integratio
• Familiarity with the AOSP Platform
• Familiarity with the Automotive apps architecture
• Familiarity with Animations and Game development

What you bring to Ather

• 3-6 years of experience in Native Android Development
