Our state-of-the-art plant in Himmatnagar/Ahmedabad is looking to hire an experienced Plant Head to oversee production and operations.


Role Overview:
The Project Procurement Officer will oversee procurement activities for large-scale projects, ensuring cost optimization, adherence to quality standards, and timely delivery of materials and services. This position requires expertise in managing RFQs, bid solicitation, vendor evaluation, and expediting the procurement process. The officer will work closely with project teams and suppliers to guarantee smooth procurement execution and mitigate risks related to procurement delays.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage RFQs (Request for Quotations) and bid solicitation documents.
• Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with potential suppliers and subcontractors.
• Analyze received bids and prepare detailed comparative statements to facilitate vendor selection.
• Collaborate with project teams to understand procurement needs, timelines, and specifications.
• Ensure adherence to procurement policies, regulations, and contractual obligations.
• Monitor supplier performance and proactively address any procurement-related risks or delays.
• Prepare procurement reports and documentation to support project audits and ensure compliance.
• Act as an Expeditor to track orders and ensure the timely delivery of goods and services.
• Coordinate with suppliers and project teams to resolve logistical challenges and ensure prompt deliveries.
• Maintain accurate records of supplier commitments and delivery schedules.
• Oversee and participate in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) to confirm compliance with quality standards and project specifications.
• Document FAT/SAT results and follow up on corrective actions, if necessary.
• Support and optimize procurement for base chemicals such as caustic soda, zinc, naphthalene, and feldspar.

Educational Qualification:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Experience:

• 6 to 12 years of experience in direct procurement roles.
• Must have worked on at least one project valued over INR 100 Cr.
• At least 2 years of experience in the oil and gas industry.

Preferred Background:
Candidates with experience in the following companies or similar organizations will be given preference:

• L&T (Larsen & Toubro), Tata Projects, Samsung Heavy Engineering, Afcons Infrastructure, Montecarlo, Gammon India, etc.

Skills Required:

• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Proficiency in procurement software/tools.
• Sound understanding of procurement contracts and legal aspects.
• Ability to handle multiple procurement tasks concurrently.
• Strong follow-up and expediting skills to ensure on-time deliveries.
