Job Summary:
We are seeking a seasoned Direct Marketing Manager with 15-25 years of experience in the ceramics industry. The ideal candidate will have exposure to both domestic and international marketing strategies. You will be responsible for driving marketing and business development activities for ceramic products, ensuring growth in both existing and new markets.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Deep Customer Connect:
    • Should have good connect in domestic market with large corporates and MNC companies operating in India in ceramics space
    • Should have direct connect with customers in Middle east / Europe and south east Asia region (at least 1 region of the 3), with achieved overall international of INR 85 Crs. or USD 10.00 million per annum.

  • Should be able to develop strategy for cross-sell/ trading for other ceramic product and heavy minerals such rutile, anhydrous titanium di oxide, zinc derivatives, grit, first, compound, ceramics glazes.
  • Direct Marketing Strategy:
    • Develop and implement comprehensive direct marketing strategies to boost brand visibility and sales of ceramic products in domestic and international markets.
    • Create and execute targeted campaigns that drive customer acquisition, retention, and brand loyalty.

  • Market Research and Analysis:
    • Conduct in-depth market research to identify market trends, customer preferences, and emerging opportunities in the ceramics industry.
    • Analyse competitor activity and provide actionable insights to improve marketing strategies and maintain competitive advantage.

  • Customer Relationship Management (CRM):
    • Build and nurture long-term relationships with key clients, distributors, and industry stakeholders in both domestic and international markets.
    • Lead direct communication with high-value clients to ensure satisfaction, loyalty, and repeat business.

  • Sales and Revenue Generation:
    • Collaborate with the sales and business development teams to generate leads, convert prospects, and drive sales growth.
    • Set and monitor sales targets, ensuring alignment with overall revenue goals for both domestic and international markets.

  • Brand Positioning and Development:
    • Oversee brand development and positioning efforts to increase brand awareness and preference in the ceramics market.
    • Ensure consistent and compelling brand messaging across all marketing channels and platforms.

  • International Marketing:
    • Lead the company’s marketing efforts in international markets, adapting strategies to meet local preferences, regulations, and cultural nuances.
    • Represent the company at international trade shows, exhibitions, and networking events.

  • Team Collaboration and Leadership:
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, supply chain, and customer service, to ensure the smooth execution of marketing and sales strategies.
    • Provide mentorship and leadership to junior marketing staff of at least 3-4 people, guiding them to achieve their individual and team goals.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience: 15-25 years in direct marketing within the ceramics industry, with expertise in both domestic and international markets.
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, International Marketing or related field.
  • Industry Expertise: In-depth knowledge of ceramics products (flooring, tiles, sanitary ware, etc.), market dynamics, and consumer behaviour.
  • Skills:
    • Strong analytical skills for interpreting market data and customer feedback.
    • Expertise in digital marketing, including SEO, SEM, email marketing, and social media management.
    • Proficiency in CRM software and lead generation tools.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

  • International Exposure: Proven experience in handling international markets, understanding global distribution channels, and managing cross-cultural marketing campaigns.
  • Languages: Multilingual skills are a plus (especially in European, Asian, or Middle Eastern languages).
  • Personal Attributes:
    • Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to direct marketing.
    • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
    • Results-driven with a focus on measurable sales growth and market share expansion.
