The Academy manager is primarily responsible for the following: -
1. Primary goal is to synergize the Academy Training to the business.
2. Perform the role of a Business Partner, Associate Champion and a Change Agent thereby
directly impacting & assisting internal customers achieve their respective goals.
3. To set up and manage the Freshers Training process and operations, define, drive, and
achieve the annual Fresher’s Training goals for the organization and manage the Academy
team at the Centre comprising of soft skills trainers, Governance & Operations Executives.
Key Deliverables
Serving as a core member of the Executive team and assisting in the formulation of Training
strategy and direction. The key deliverables of Academy manager are as follows: -
• Training Outcome/Associate Performance:
Responsible for desired training output in line with the training objective and
acceptable transformation of associates
• Liasioning with Hiring Team:
Liasioning with the Academy Hiring team to understand the joining status of the
forthcoming batches and plan for the same.
• Inflow/Outflow Management:
Initiating Preparing the Inflow/Outflow data based on the projection received
from the Delivery teams.
• Collaboration with Support Units:
Technical Infrastructure Management (TIM) Team – For handling & addressing
Internal IT requirements.
Resource Management Group (RMG)
• Talent Management Group – For cohesive functioning
• Joining Team – For handling Fresher & Support team joining
• Hiring Team – For handling Lateral support requirements
Corporate Services (CS) Team – For handling all the Security, Transport, Food &
Beverages, Office boys, Dormitories, amenities need inside the office premises.
Finance Team – For settling the payouts related to Academy expenses.
Maintenance Team – For all the infrastructure (non-IT) related support
Commercial Team – For any asset procurement
UHR – For handling & addressing HR related concerns of associates.
• Collaboration with Technical Team:
Service Automation Team – For Faculty & Mentor support and Simulation lab
execution
IROC (Remote Operations Centre) Team – For Technical operations support
Tools Team – For Tools Training
Portal Team – For Portal Management.
• Collaboration with Delivery Units:
Projections (Quarterly) – For obtaining QoQ resource requirements.
Deployment – For deployment of trained associates
CSAT (Customer Satisfaction Survey) – For measuring the effectiveness of the
trained associates
KYL (Know Your Leader) – For inviting Leaders to address the associates during the
training period.
Customer Visits - for enhanced interaction and visibility of Academy
• Convocation/Valedictory ceremony:
For conducting the valedictory ceremony after completion of the training
• Academy manpower planning:
For Academy operations
• Budgeting (Budget Vs Utilization - YoY):
Planning & utilization of funds allotted
• Asset Management:
Inventory Management & periodic audits of Technical & Non-Technical assets
• Fine Amount Handling:
For maintaining proper accounting of fine amount and its utilization
• Training Outcome (Student’s performance):
For the transformation of the associates in line with the objectives of Academy
• Counselling:
For hand holding the grieved associates along with soft skill faculty, when in need
• Team Outing:
For breaking the monotony and enhancing associate delight
• CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) programs:
For maintaining the culture of our care for society
• Project Deployment:
Responsible for deployment of Associates after successful completion of training
• Vendor Management:
Co-ordinate with the partners/vendors and effectively handle the requirements
related to the Academy
• Associate Communication:
Responsible for mass communication to the associates like Caution letters,
Warning letters, Project deployment etc.,
• Solution consulting:
Responsible for Academy walkthrough to the visiting leaders / customers to the
Academy
• Reviews & MIS reports: Responsible for the following reports as per the review calendar
Daily
Weekly
Fortnightly
Monthly
Quarterly
Required Profile
• Relevant experience mandatory
• An inspirational leader rather than an administrative manager who knows how to motivate
others. A team player who works well with others and expects a team approach from his
own organization.
• A hands-on style with a willingness to get down in the trenches and lead by example to get
the job done.
• Someone with demonstrated skills as a mentor to highly intelligent, motivated employees,
who will help them achieve more with existing resources.
• Previous experience and success in building B2B training methodologies and brands
• Proven experience in inspiring, managing and directing teams successfully.
• Ability to multi-task and balance multiple projects simultaneously
• Proven ability to efficiently leverage constrained resources.
Experience in bringing together recruitment, onboarding, Induction & Orientation, staffing,
on-site deployment, cross skilling, strategy, people management, performance
management, employee connect, and off boarding with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent
proven, MBA a plus
