Position Title: Assistant/Associate Professor

Position Overview

The Associate Professor is responsible for teaching graduate-level courses, conducting research, mentoring students, and contributing to the academic development of the department. This position requires a balance of academic expertise, leadership, and a commitment to excellence in education and research.

Key Responsibilities

• Teaching and Curriculum Development
• Deliver high-quality lectures and interactive sessions for core and elective MBA courses.
• Design, update, and implement course content and teaching methods to align with industry trends and standards.
• Supervise case studies, group projects, and experiential learning activities.
• Assess and evaluate student performance through examinations, assignments, and participation.

Research and Scholarly Activities

• Conduct impactful research in business and management disciplines, resulting in publications in peer-reviewed journals.
• Collaborate with colleagues and industry professionals on interdisciplinary research projects.
• Present research findings at conferences and seminars.

Mentorship and Student Engagement

• Guide and mentor students in academic projects, internships, and career planning.
• Provide academic and professional advice to students to enhance their learning experience.

Departmental and Institutional Contributions

• Participate in department meetings, curriculum reviews, and accreditation processes.
• Contribute to the development of academic policies and strategies.
• Engage in faculty development programs and promote a collaborative academic environment.

Industry and Community Engagement

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with industry leaders and alumni to enrich the MBA program.
• Organize guest lectures, workshops, and networking events to enhance student exposure to real-world business challenges.

Qualifications

Educational Requirements

• Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field from a recognized institution.
• MBA with significant teaching and industry experience (may be considered in exceptional cases).

Experience

• Minimum of 515 years of teaching experience in an MBA or equivalent program.
• Demonstrated research experience with a strong publication record.
• Industry experience in leadership roles (preferred).

Skills and Competencies

• Expertise in at least one core area of business, such as Finance, Marketing, Strategy, Operations, or HR.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency in the use of technology for teaching and research.
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and work collaboratively.
