Job Description
Individuals in this role will research internal databases identifying situations where conflicts of interest issues may exist, summarize research findings and deliver summary reports to the engagement team. Individuals in this role will also provide procedural support to engagement teams navigating the firms conflict check requirements.
Essential Duties
- Process conflict of interest searches, including analyzing and interpreting complex search results according to rules of professional conduct applicable professional standards and generates conflict reports
- Performs searches of external and internal databases for pertinent information on existing and prospective clients and related parties
- Assists department leadership in obtaining appropriate documentation to ensure all engagements and conflict resolutions are documented and recorded in the Firm s conflicts system
- Educates and provides guidance to internal customers regarding conflicts and intake policies and procedures
- Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS
- Graduation - Required
- MBA - Preferred
TECHNICAL/SOFT SKILLS
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook - Required
- Strong familiarity with financial and legal transactions, organization types, and corporate family structures - Preferred
EXPERIENCE
- Strong research skills and experience with data entry - Required
- Experience in a support or customer service role or function - Required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail - Required
- Good organizational and time management skills - Required
- Must be able to work independently - Required
- Must exercise good judgment skills to determine whether a researcher is providing accurate details - Preferred
- Experience with the independence rules in the United States, including the PCAOB, SEC, AICPA - Preferred
LEADERSHIP SKILLS
Ability to mentor and coach other employees - Preferred
