Role & responsibilities

The key responsibilities will include the following:

As a Wind BOP Engineer, you will operate and maintain the site, optimizing wind generation performance while prioritizing health, safety, and environmental compliance. You will actively participate in the safety program, ensuring all team members and contractors adhere to safety procedures and job safety analyses. Your responsibilities include:

Detailed Work Responsibility:

• Operating and monitoring site equipment, maintaining high standards for equipment reliability and efficiency, and conducting routine inspections.
• Managing contractors, serving as the primary contact for landowners, and coordinating on-site work, including maintaining the site in a clean and neat condition
• Troubleshoot and recommend improvements to plant performance, supporting operations at other sites during emergencies, and using Root Cause Failure Analysis techniques to solve problems
• You will also ensure confidentiality, comply with legal obligations, and support wind and solar assets for planned and forced outages, which may require overnight stays
• working knowledge of industrial electrical or substation equipment including breaker, disconnects, transformers, contactor
• Transformers Maintenance and Troubleshooting.
• All types of Current Transformers, Potential Transformers, Circuit Breakers (SF6 & VCB), Isolators,
• lightening arrestors
• Troubleshooting the faults within a limited period.
• Replacement of major components like Transformers / breakers / Relay panels etc.
• Monthly JMR Preparations(B form ), KPTCL Department Liaising,
• Ensure to Complete the defined Balance of Plant Scheduled, Unscheduled Maintenance and Major activities at designated Customer Service sites
• Work collaborate and deliver contractual obligations
• Ensure HSE & All statutory Compliances followed in Every task including for Subcontractors
• To be Performed the 230KV & 33KV schedule maintenance and breakdown maintenance as assigned
• Ensure Substation and related equipment are maintained with tidy and technically acceptable conditions and ensure it complies with standard engineering practices and Work Procedures

Additional Details

• This role requires daily attendance at a worksite
• Inform reporting manager on any deviations/ variations in performance/DSM /MOM action points/List of open points and ensure deviation/variations are rectified in agreed time.
• Ensure reporting system and analytics in RE monitoring system is implemented as requirement and in line with scope.
• Analyze WTGs/Solar plant parameters which affect WTG performance, performance ratio i.e repeated error, Warning, various temp analysis, lower performance.
• Analyze wind & solar resource availability to maximize the generation.

Track and monitor the various predictive analysis reports (Lubrication reports)

Preferred candidate profile

• Knowledge of wind turbines technology and operation. Experience in O&M of Wind Sites.
• Ability to work around energized equipment under proper lock-out, tag-out, and other safety procedures (if required when deputed to site for audit).
• Position is based at Site / PAN India.
• Candidate should have experience in relevant industry
• Knowledge of wind turbine & plant operations.
