Land Acquisition (AM/DM)

Desired qualification + Experience

Graduation with 10 - 15 Years of Experience in Green Field Mining Projects.

Degree in Law will be an additional advantage.

Roles and Responsibility

• Overseeing all aspects of Land Acquisitions related to development of Mining Projects within prescribed Budget & Timelines.
• Negotiate with landowners, government agencies, and other stakeholders to acquire land rights necessary for mining activities.
• Adherence to terms of purchase or lease agreements, obtaining necessary permits, and ensuring compliance with local regulations.
• Conduct due diligence assessments to evaluate the legal, environmental, and social implications of acquiring specific land parcels.
• Coordinating with local land officials and other concerned for land acquisition activities.
• Engage with local communities, indigenous groups, and other stakeholders to address concerns, provide information, and foster positive relationships.
• Maintain detailed records of land transactions, agreements, and regulatory approvals.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies throughout the land acquisition process.
• Assess and mitigate risks associated with land acquisition, such as legal disputes, environmental challenges, or community opposition. Develop contingency plans to address unforeseen challenges.
• Coordinate with internal teams, external consultants, and government agencies to facilitate the smooth transition of land from acquisition through to development and operational phases.
• Develop and manage budgets related to land acquisition activities, including costs associated with legal fees, land surveys, environmental assessments, and community engagement initiatives.
